First hours in the Netherlands. I landed with Paolo in Amsterdam four days ago, on the 27th, then got soon in our new hometown, Rotterdam. Just the time to visit some offices at RSM (our university) and to take a look to the apartment where we will stay. Then the organizing team accompanied us to Dordrecht, a small town south-east of Rotterdam, to follow a two-day seminar held by a Belgian coaching and consulting firm.
Four months of exchange are not really a long time, but they may be enought to grasp an idea about the way people live in these parts of Europe, not just from a climatic or gastronomic perspective. This is why I eventually opened a blog (in the past years there have been other similar projects, never landed obviously), that is to share anything I will come across and which will stimulate my curiosity.
In the meantime, as an appetizer, I will just post a photo taken this afternoon in Rotterdam, as we came back from Dordrecht, to give you an idea of what the city looks like (click for a larger image size).
Tot ziens.
